My Long Time North Shore Favorite Café

My Long Time North Shore Favorite Café

One of my favorite cafés on the North Shore is the long-standing stalwart of the community, Atomic Coffee Roasters on Cabot Street in Beverly. A welcoming café with large windows, ceiling fans, multiple booths and counter space that surrounds their beautiful Marzocco Espresso Machine lying dead center. They have served their own uniquely roasted profile of great coffee consistently over the years. In addition to the exceptional espresso drinks and cold brew on tap, the kitchen serves a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, along with salads and the now all-familiar acai bowl. A few years ago, they added a juice bar in the back, offering fruit and veggie smoothies. The kitchen will stay open all day, but you have to get your smoothie by 3:00 pm.

Atomic opened many years ago across the street in a shoebox that was always overflowing with people. Somehow, I always managed to get a table. Now, there is plenty of seating and I often opt for the last booth in the back, which allows me to take in all the action while I sip a hot latte. Even though the café is always full, the line moves quickly and there is always good music filling the space. If you stop by the Atomic, there is a good chance I’ll see you there.
