EXCLUSIVE: Dave Mason on the Importance of Jimi Hendrix

I had the honor to speak with legendary musician, Dave Mason earlier today for Following Boston with topics ranging from his upcoming tour stop in City Winery in Boston on June 18th, to his impressive 60 year career in the music industry working with Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, and Jimi Hendrix, just to name a few. When asked about this collaboration, “What do you think? (laughs) Working with Jimi was an incredibly unique opportunity. I spent some great time with him, and fortunately, I was there at the right place at the right time… and I got to record on Electric Ladyland. There’s a lot of great guitar players out there, but there are no more Jimi Hendrix.”
