Rising indie pop rock star Wallice stopped by The Sinclair on April 13th to deliver an electric show. After bringing her tour to Boston in February of 2025, fans were itching for another headline show in the city. The night began with indie grunge band Fake Dad. They set the euphoric tone for the night, jumping around the stage and bringing the energy throughout their set. Lead singer Andrea de Varona alternated between singing in Spanish and English. She dramatically fell to her knees to effortlessly belt out high notes in a red cheetah print shirt, wrestling-inspired leather shorts, and knee pads. They paused between songs to chat about how much they love the city, with guitarist Josh Ford asking their mom in the audience to confirm that their last visit was 5 years ago. Fans could tell they were eager to be back as they made the night count. de Varona brought up three lucky fans to hang, bang, and rage out to the catchy track "Invader."

Soon after, Wallice skipped on stage with freshly dyed pink hair (which she confirmed during our portrait shoot), a white grommeted shirt, and a statement Chopova Lowena skirt. Her grunge style complemented her confident stage presence. She smiled ear to ear as fans sang every word, sharing how she was "happy you were back!" To much delight and cheers, Wallice performed unreleased tracks, including one titled "Right Light." The catchy melodies pulled everyone closer to the stage. Since Boston was one of the last stops on the tour, the audience already knew the words, which led to a call-and-response moment that made Wallice giddy.

Songs like "Hey Michael" and "Flash In The Pan" off her latest album, The Jester, got the crowd dancing. Her smooth vocals entranced the crowd, as if she were serenading every fan. The singer held the crowd in the palm of her hand, whipping her hair around and dancing during each track. She closed out the show with the harmoniously cacophonous track "Heaven Has To Happen" before heading backstage for the night. Wallice crafted the perfect setlist, weaving fan favorites and highly anticipated unreleased tracks throughout the night, leaving fans ready for her next project. She concludes her tour in Philadelphia on April 20th. Buy tickets to upcoming shows here.
