Kilby Block Party returns next May, and an eclectic lineup filled with artists old and new, for one of the most anticipated festivals of 2027 among indie music lovers. The lineup is stacked with incredible artists from top to bottom, including blossoming artists starting to make their name, and established artists coming off of major album success. And with the a few artists yet to be named, it begs the question: how much better can this festival really get?

Headlined by The Strokes, Deftones, and Jungle, alongside co-headliners Fontaines DC, Slayyter, and Lil Yachty represent some of the best artists around.

Friday kicks off the festival with headlining performances from Deftones and Fontaines DC. Deftones fresh off a new generation of listeners falling back in love with a musical great, open the festival with a bang. Co-headlined by Fontaines DC, possibly the hottest band in the world right now, who are fresh off their new album Dopamine Chamber.

On Saturday, The Strokes return to Kilby Block Party after 4 years, just off of their new album Reality Awaits, which brought a new sonic sound to Strokes fans and began to blend aspects of The Strokes with lead singer Julian Casablancas’ other project, The Voidz. Coheadlined by Slayyyter, who keeps proving time and time again that while she’s the Wor$t Girl in America, she’s also one of the captivating artists in America.

Closing out the festival, Jungle and Lil Yachty bring a unique blend of sonic sounds to close out the festival. Jungle, possibly the grooviest artists out there, provide such a unique blend of funk, soul, and electronic music that the festival is surely to close out with a dance for the ages. While Lil Yachty has proven time and time again that he’s more than a rapper but a talented, multi-genre artist.

Artists lower on the bill are equally as impressive and are sure to impress audiences, both familiar and unfamiliar with their work.

Westside Cowboy, fresh off their debut album It Goes On, are surely going to be a band you don’t want to miss out on. Their debut album was impeccable, underlined by beautiful lyricism, empowered vocals, and a sound so fresh you’ll find yourself listening to them on repeat!

Rising LA star, Truman Sinclair brings his diverse range of music to the mountain city. For fans of Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, Truman’s music blends both musical influences into a modern, contemporary sound with lyrics that’ll have you wondering how they were written by a 24 year old.

Greg Freeman quietly released possibly one of the best albums of 2026. Similarly, Wednesday, Kurt Vile, Racing Mount Pleasant, Ratboys, Victory Land, and Lip Critic have all released some of my favorites of 2025. In truth, I could easily write a 10,000 word article that broke down each individual artist on the billing, and it still wouldn’t live up to the magic of attending the festival. There’s something truly special and unique about Kilby Block Party that I’ve never experienced at other festivals. Maybe it’s the beautiful scenery — the unparalleled views of the Rockies combined with a stunning musical performances of musicians. Or maybe it’s the people, from the attendees to the volunteers who make the festival feel like a community.

For any self-proclaimed indie darlings, this is a festival you won’t want to miss out on. Some of my most treasured music memories were formed at this festival, and in truth it’s a festival like no other: impeccable music under the backdrop of gorgeous, snow-capped mountains. There’s no better way to kick off your summer. Tickets go on sale Thursday, October 29th at 10am Mountain Time. See the link here to grab your tickets now!
