Spend Summer 2027 With Angel Lizzy McAlpine
Beloved dreamy pop songstress Lizzy McAlpine just announced The Over Country Tour, an extensive run of headline shows across North America, the U.K., Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in support of her fourth studio album, Angel. The tour kicks off in Australia in February and will arrive in North America in the summer of 2027. This is McAlpine's largest headline tour to date, featuring stops at historic venues like Madison Square Garden. McAlpine last visited Boston's MGM Music Hall in 2025, and she will return to the city for two nights at Agganis Arena on June 20th and 21st.
Angel marks a clear sonic expansion for the singer. McAlpine is known for her smooth, airy vocals that mesmerize listeners and make them feel as though she took a peek into their diary. This album weaves a rich tapestry of classic and contemporary influences, from '70s Laurel Canyon folk to 21st-century indie. Written during a period of profound self-discovery, Angel chronicles themes of love, heartbreak, and the endurance of community and friendship through her most refined lens yet. Fans may recognize McAlpine from a needle drop and cameo in the hit Paramount+ television series School Spirits. A pivotal moment in Season 1 featured the haunting and nuanced track "Doomsday," and she made an appearance to sing "House of the Rising Sun" in Season 3, displaying an edgier and more textured side to the artist.
Joining McAlpine are Oregon-based indie artist Searows and Chicago-born psychedelic rock group Post Animal. The five-piece band has spent the last two years touring worldwide as a headliner and supporting Djo. Their mix of punchy, playful, and heartfelt tracks is sure to bring the energy needed to kick off the show each night.
