The Stars Aligned For Freya Skye In Boston

Rising pop princess Freya Skye visited House of Blues Boston on February 27th, on the second-to-last night of leg one of the Stars Align Tour, and fans were buzzing with anticipation. They crafted sparkly posters, thoughtful friendship bracelets, and wore matching blue bedazzled star sunglasses. Many mothers and daughters made their way into the venue, a heartfelt reminder of the power of music and connection.

This string of shows marks Skye's first headline tour and third time performing in Boston. Last year, the star visited the city as part of the Disney Descendants Zombies Worlds Collide Tour and made a surprise appearance at the Kiss 108 Jingle Ball. Fans were itching for a headline performance featuring her catchy and relatable songs.

First up was fellow Disney star Adrian Lyles, also known as Jet in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. His boundless energy radiated through the venue as he jumped around the stage and waved to fans. Standout tracks "Peace of Mind" and "Way Down" got the audience dancing along to the addictive bass lines and lively melodies.

Soon after, the lights dimmed again, and fans released thunderous cheers. The array of oversized string lights lining the stage were drenched in blue light, creating a dreamy, starry night sky. The opening notes to "Can't Fake It" rumbled in the speakers as Skye ran out onto a white staircase platform. Fans shrieked with excitement and sang each word back to her emphatically. Skye fittingly debuted a bedazzled Celtics green dress, the perfect color for Boston. She paused between songs to take in the moment, smiling ear to ear the entire night.

The singer also sprinkled unreleased tracks onto the setlist, including the cheeky song, "Bad Taste." During each track, she wowed the crowd with her signature powerhouse vocals and charm. Skye held the energy high throughout the rest of the set, dancing across the stage while effortlessly belting high notes, a testament to her stamina and stage presence. Certifiably, the loudest moment of the show was when she performed the viral hit "Silent Treatment," an upbeat, cathartic anthem about heartbreak and moving on. Skye crafted the perfect first concert for young fans and an electric performance for seasoned music lovers. Make sure to catch Freya Skye live before the Stars Align Tour ends in November.
