Sugar Ray hit the stage at BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, NH looking like they stepped straight out of a ‘90s music video, dressed in matching white suits and ready to party. Mark McGrath, frosted tips and all, had the crowd from the jump - fully aware he might be the only guy left rocking that look. “Seemed like a good idea back in December,” he joked, peeling off his white jacket a few songs in as the summer heat kicked in. The band leaned hard into their heyday with the crowd singing along through favorites like “Fly,” “When It’s Over,” and “Someday.”

It’s hard to imagine anyone leaving a Barenaked Ladies show in a bad mood. As part of their Last Summer on Earth 2025 tour, the band brought their signature mix of humor, heart and absolute crowd-pleasers to BankNH Pavilion.

The played their hits like “Pinch Me” and “One Week,” but the real standout was “If I Had $1,000,000,” which turned into a massive singalong with the entire crowd shouting every word. Even the bugs wanted in on the fun - at one point, a giant moth flew onstage, and lead singer Ed Robertson caught it midair. “I pardon you,” he said into the mic with perfect timing, releasing it as the crowd erupted in laughter and applause.

Opening the night was Fastball, warming up the crowd with a solid set that included their biggest hit, “The Way.”
If the Last Summer on Earth tour makes a stop anywhere near you, make sure not to miss it.
