Although there were no confirmed alien sightings, it was still a beautifully cosmic night with Lord Huron at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Colorado. The band played for a sold-out crowd on June 10 as part of their The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 Tour. It was a warm summer night with a light breeze, and fans lined the walkways early, ready to climb the long stairs and ramps into the venue.

Red Rocks remains one of the most distinctive venues in the country, shaped by massive sandstone formations that rise on both sides of the amphitheater. The Denver skyline sat behind the stage in the distance, visible before sunset and even more striking once the city lights came on after dark. If you have not been to Red Rocks, bring comfortable shoes because you will climb hundreds of stairs at more than 6,000 feet of elevation. The views and the experience are worth the effort.
The sun set as Lord Huron took the stage. The band's payphone stood at the center of the setup, tying it directly into the story world behind their new album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. The band members were sharply dressed and carried a warm, folk‑driven sound that fit the setting naturally. Their style effortlessly matched the open-air atmosphere of Red Rocks. Songs like Ends of the Earth, Wait by the River, Long Lost, Meet Me in the Woods, and The Night We Met landed especially well in the amphitheater.

The tour continues with several East Coast dates, including Boston on June 22, along with stops in Maine, Connecticut, New Jersey, and more. They will also head to Canada, Texas, Florida, and additional cities later in the year. If they are coming through your area, it is worth grabbing tickets early because these shows have been filling up fast.

Fightmaster opened the night with a great set led by E. R. Fightmaster. They leaned into a warm indie rock style with clear vocals and steady pacing. It was a strong lead-in to Lord Huron’s performance.
