Big Time Rush hit the road on the In Real Life Worldwide tour to perform "Every song from every episode," an irresistible setlist for fans of all ages and especially those who grew up with the show. To top it all off, they travelled with costars Katelyn Tarver and Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played the original "Worldwide" girl, Jo Taylor, and the band's manager, Gustavo Rocque, respectively. The night was full of nostalgia and joy, as well as stellar original music.
Fans waving a tapestry with Glickman's face stood up and cheered when he emerged on stage. He sported a sleek Celtics green suit and dove into powerful covers by today's biggest stars. Songs like "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish, "Pink Pony Club" by Chappell Roan, and "we can't be friends (wait for your love)" by Ariana Grande got everyone up on their feet. He delivered that same playfulness and larger-than-life personality fans saw on screen, immediately charming the venue.

Next up was rising star Katelyn Tarver. Her performance left fans wondering why they did not have her character sing while on Big Time Rush. She burst onto the stage with unbounded energy, skipping from side to side and waving to the crowd. She dove into a slew of clever and catchy original songs like "Cinematic." Her silky smooth voice mesmerized the venue as she transitioned between strumming on the guitar and dancing on stage.

She effortlessly weaved between high-energy and emotional tracks ranging from her 2017 release "You Don't Know," which inspired everyone to raise their flashlights, all the way to her latest single "#1". Fans in the front row held up posters with glittery bubble letters saying "KATELYN U R MY #1," signaling it might be time for her to go on her first headline tour since 2023. Tarver is an expert at engaging new fans and creating a personal connection with her audience. She made city-specific shirts for each stop of the tour, and Massachusetts received the cheeky, "Katelyn Tahvah," as a reference to the Boston accent. At the end of her set, she displayed a QR code on screen for fans to sign up for updates on future announcements and for a chance to win the coveted shirt she wore that very night.

Fans shrieked when the opening credit sequence from Big Time Rush played on the big screen. Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega appeared on stage in sports jerseys and their signature color red. They committed to performing all songs from the series, including fan favorites, viral hits, and deep cuts like "Giant Turd."
Their set highlighted each of their incredible vocal talents, with each of them sounding as if not a day had passed since the show. About midway through the night, Glickman emerged again, this time to play the piano for the boys' solo performances: Schmidt sang "Cover Girl," PenaVega sang "You're Not Alone," Henderson sang "All Over Again," and Maslow sang "We Are."
Maslow revealed he had known Glickman since before the show, and he inspired him to learn piano, putting into perspective how deep all of their bonds truly are.

They ducked off stage for a quick change as a skit played on the screen. They each wore their iconic outfits, like the camouflage hat and Bandana Man. Their energy was electric and infectious as they bounced off trampolines around on the stage and recreated beloved moments from the show, like PenaVega wearing a helmet and 'crashing' a shopping cart. After returning to the stage, PenaVega said that it gave him the idea to head into the crowd. Off they went, interacting with the audience as they ventured to the B-stage at the back of the venue, revealing their commitment to giving each person an unforgettable night, no matter their seat.

They took a moment to share their gratitude with the audience, remarking how incredible it was to be back over fifteen years after the show aired in 2009. On their way back to the main stage, they selected four audience members to join them on stage to sing "Worldwide," a dream for the lucky fans selected. Together, Maslow, Henderson, PenaVega, Schmidt, Tarver, and Glickman immersed Mansfield in the world of Big Time Rush, fostering a celebratory night of community and joy. Make sure to catch them all live before the In Real Life Worldwide tour ends in December. Buy tickets here.
